Hypothetical Carjacking...

According to wikipedia (where all things are true) a carjacking is "a form of hijacking, where the crime is stealing a motor vehicle and so also armed assault when the vehicle is occupied."

This past weekend, I did some limited (very limited) spring cleaning, including cleaning out my car. I found an random assortment of odds and ends. As one thing quickly leads to another in my mind, before I knew it, I was wondering: If my car was ever stolen, what would the hypothetical criminal think of the items I've been lugging around in it?

Maybe none of you have ever had this thought. Honestly, my first thought upon cleaning my car was: Oh my gosh. I shed more than a dog. My hairdresser promises me that I'm not losing as much hair as I think; I just see it everywhere because it's so long. So...we'll go with that. (But seriously. Yipe.)

After I recovered from the gross-out factor of that, I found the following items:
- movie ticket stubs (to Beauty and the Beast 3D and Act of Valor--for the record, I enjoyed them both)
- my long lost debit card (which has since been cancelled)
- loose change (totaling 33 cents)
- a stack of cookbooks, including one titled The Enchanted Broccoli Forest
- bobby pins
- my yoga mat
- my missing heels
- one running shoe (wholly ineffective)
- my DemonBell (LOVE her!! Check them out at www.demonbells.com)
- my long lost Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Paranormal (much like John Acuff's Stuff Christians Like, a good read for a road trip...like if you're driving across Nebraska to South Dakota...it's got great tips for what to do if you're dating a vampire, become a werewolf, or being chased by zombies)
- a straw (green one from Starbucks, for anyone that's interested)

I will also say this: I promise I'm not a slob.

So...whatever idiot would be stupid enough to steal my car--let's leave out the part where I'm occupying the vehicle--what do you think he or she would think? A yoga mat, a kettle bell with a face on it, and a cookbook entitled The Enchanted Broccoli Forest. Oh!--and a book with friendly tips and reminders on the differences between "fast zombies" and "slow zombies." (Yes. There are two types.)

And what would said hypothetical thief think in your own hypothetical carjacking situation?

Most likely, hypothetical thief would realize there is next to no gas in my car and he or she won't be going far.

Hypothetically, a not so smooth criminal.

[Things I wished I'd have found in my car: My Bb. Sunday shampoo. :( It disappeared sometime during the December drama, along with a pair of grey dress pants. Weird.]
